Welcome to Spacerock.com
Webcraft

There have been a couple of areas of the site that up until now have been 'hidden' (not linked from anywhere). Time to let them out. One is a mirror site for a very valuable HTML Reference resource from Rob Schluter, and the other is a 216 color pallette.

A Word About The Colors
In the world of browsers and the web, there are 216 colors which are called 'non-dithering' or 'browser safe.' What does this mean? Does it mean that if you use something different, your computer risks frying itself into oblvion or something like that? No. What it refers to is the way the browsers interpret the colors and how 'solidly' they display. If you are trying to keep colors consistent from one monitor/video card to the next, use these colors contained within the pallette.

Mathamatically Speaking
The colors are identified in HTML by a hexidecimal number. An example would be FF0066. The first 2 digits represent red, the second two, green, and the last two, blue. The range of digits is from 0 - 9 and A - F. You might realize that this color combination of red, blue and green is known as RGB color. In Photoshop, these are represented by numbers from 0 to 255.

I have included the RGB numbers as well as the hexidecimal equivalents.

My Sites
Best thing to do here is to go to my commercial site, 1 Stop Web Solutions, and have a look at my Porfolio. I hadn't updated this page in quite a while and cringed when I saw the old sites that were listed on it. One of them, (shudder), was a frame set site!

My particular skillset:

  • Graphic Designer
  • Programmer - perl, php
  • Specialize in database driven websites (MySQL)
  • Interactivity on sites
  • Think outside the box - often - as it is a necessity
