After a slow, heartbreaking downhill ride, my mom headed out to her heavenly home. It was very hard to see her decline so slowly I am trying to move past the bad and remember the good.
My mom was always a strong, independant woman. My memories are filled with the times at Tahoe when we were riding bicycles around Tahoe Keys - and the time we went out to the Delta in 2013 on Harleys - she on the back of her fiance's Harley at age 85. Those are the memories that I am keeping intact - along with decades of others.
